PURPOSE:To reduce channels continuously from the 1st to the 8th channel by actuating a muting circuit in case of switching from the 4th to the 5th channel or the 8th to the 1st channel. CONSTITUTION:When the reproducing of the 4th channel T4 is completed and a sensing tape turns on a sensing switch 17, magnetic heads 2a, 2b are moved to the positions corresponding to tracks T1, T5 respectively. A rotary switch 9 is connected to a contact I1. At that time, the muting circuit 53 is actuated, the output of the 1st channel T1 reproduced by the magnetic head 2a is muted to obtain the output of the 5th channel T5 reproduced by the magnetic head 2b. Thus, the reproducing can be continued without manual switching when the channels are to be switched from the 4th to the 5th channel or the 8th to the 1st channel. |
