The two attachment rails (3, 3'), guided in guide rails (1, 1'), of an instrument bearer for a vehicle seat are connected by a front crossbar (4) and a rear crossbar (5) to form a rigid frame. Connected to the front crossbar (4) are longitudinal webs (6, 6') which extend from the rear crossbar (5) and are arranged with spacing from one another and from the attachment rails (3, 3'). Electric motors (7, 8, 9) for the seat adjustment are mounted on a vertical motor bearing web (10) which is attached by both of its ends to the two crossbars (4, 5). A longitudinal adjusting spindle (14) with the gearing (12) driving it is arranged between the one longitudinal web (6) and the adjacent attachment rail (3). On the opposite side, a height-adjusting spindle (20) with the gearing (18) driving it is arranged between the other longitudinal web (6') and the adjacent attachment rail (3'). Both adjusting spindles (14, 20) extend below the rear crossbar (5). <IMAGE>
