PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform reference position detection control at changeover to a traveling mode not via a vehicle power source ALL-OFF from a non-traveling mode without performing reference position detection control which is unnecessary when power is turned-on by the non-traveling mode.SOLUTION: When power is turned on by the selection of a non-traveling mode during a stop of a vehicle, the reference position detection control of an actuator 26 is not performed, and when changeover to a traveling mode by an operation of a start switch 38 from the non-traveling mode, the reference position detection control of the actuator is performed. Therefore, since position detection control which is unnecessary at the turn-on of power at the non-traveling mode is not performed, the durability of a shift position changeover device 12 for a vehicle is improved, and when changeover to the traveling mode is performed after the turn-on of the power at the non-traveling mode, the reference position detection control is performed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
