PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress rapid movement of a cam lobe member to a cam base member.SOLUTION: A variable valve gear according to this invention includes a cam base member 210 which is provided on a cam shaft, a cam lobe member 212 which has a main cam part 214 and an extrusion part 216 and is movable between a first position and a second position, an energizing member 222 for energizing the cam lobe member toward the first position, a pressing member 230 which can work on the extrusion part of the cam lobe member, and a fixing mechanism 240 which can fix the cam lobe member to the cam base member when the cam lobe member is in the second position. The main cam part is shifted to an axial direction of the cam shaft with respect to the extrusion part. The extrusion part is protruded to the cam base member at the first position. The main cam part is protruded at the second position. The cam lobe member is moved toward the second position from the first position when the pressing member works on the extrusion part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
