PURPOSE:To register the code of a new customer easily, by finding and displaying an unused customer code automatically, and providing a means ECR or registering this code. CONSTITUTION:An operator discriminates whether a customer is registerd or not and inputs an optional customer code to CPU 2 by using numeric keys and a key ''#'' when the customer is new. This CPU 2 judges whether the code is used or not by discriminating on whether information in an area C of a memory 10 is ''0'' or not. When the code is used, that is displayed on a display means 11 and the operator presses a search key S to send the indication of retrieval of an unused code to the CPU 2. The CPU 2 retrieves an area C wherein ''0'' is written and displays the code corresponding to the area. |
