PURPOSE:To connect selectively the necessary cores in the stage of connecting cables and to prevent the generation of connection loss by winding the surplus connecting length of color-coded optical fiber cores in the core containing bobbin in a sheath juncture and containing the same therein. CONSTITUTION:A core containing part is constituted of a halved cylindrical bobbin 1 for contg. the optical fiber cores led therein, and a bobbin 8 for contg. the juncture of the fiber cores. If rings 9 for fixing cores are passed onto a fiber core bundle 10 and are fixed in the ring holes 7 at both ends of the lower bobbin 1 and if the core 10 is crossed at the center on the inside of the bobbin 1, the surplus length necessary for connecting the cores can be stored in the space between the bobbins 1 and 8 without allowing the core bundles to superpose on each other. Since sleeves 11 contg. color coded slits to permit easy identification of the cores are mounted to the cores, it is possible to connect or branch the cable sheaths by identifying and extracting the necessary cores and the generation of the connection loss occurring in the connection of the fiber cores is prevented. |
