PURPOSE:To increase the mechanical strength including impact resistance of an anticorrosive covering layer by a method in which an anticorrosive covering material is coated on the surface of a structure to be protected from corrosion, and then a laminated composite consisting of a metal and a synthetic resin or rubber is covered on the anticorrosive covering layer. CONSTITUTION:An anticorrosive covering material 2 formed by impregnating a rust-proofing mixture composed primarily of petrolatum into a cloth, etc., is covered on the periphery of a structure 1 to be protected from corrosion, e.g., steel tubular piles for marine steel structures, etc., and then a protective covering material 3 is covered on the material 12. The protective covering material 3 is of a three-layered laminated composite structure consisting of a metal 4(e.g., iron, stainless steel, aluminum, etc.) and a synthetic resin or rubber. Therefore, no damage, e.g., breakage by collision of drifts, etc., holing by adherence of marine organisms, etc., occurs in the protective covering layer. |
