PURPOSE:To obtain a weld zone having high resistance to corrosion and wear corrosion in highly corrosive environment of Cl<->, etc. by using a welding material which yields the compsn. of the deposited metal contg. respectively prescribed ratios of C, Si, Mn, Sn, etc. and consisting of the balance Fe in welding a ferrite-austenitic stainless cast steel. CONSTITUTION:A welding material consisting, by weight %, of <=0.1% C, 0.2- 3% Si, <=2% Mn, 2.2-4% Cu, 3-9% Ni, 20-30% Cr, 2-6% Mo, 0.08-0.25% N, 0.01-0.2% Sn, and the balance substantially Fe is used in welding the above- described cast steel. The welding material is used in the form of a welding wire, etc. in the case of a consumable electrode system in gas shielded arc welding. The chemical components of the deposited metal in such a case are made obtainable from a metallic core wire or metallic sheath material. The weld zone which has high strength in addition to the above-mentioned characteristic and makes the generation of any defect difficult is obtd. if the above-mentioned welding material is used. |
