PURPOSE:To obtain a water-soluble cutting and grinding oil containing a specific oxidized paraffin salt and a specific ricinoleic acid polymer salt, having excellent cutting and grinding performance, free from ordor, resistant to corrosion and degratdation, and having high defoaming capability. CONSTITUTION:The objective waters-soluble cutting and grinding oil contains (A) an alkali metal salt and/or an amine salt of a oxidzed paraffin preferably having an acid value of about 20-200 and a saponification value of about 40- 500 and (B) an alkali metal salt and/or an amine salt of a ricinoleic acid polymer having an acid value of preferably about 40-150. The weight ratio of the component (A) to (B) is preferably about 10:90-90:10. |
