PURPOSE:To reduce the weight of a vehicle body and shield electromagnetic noise waves to thereby reduce noises of a radio, by earthing an electromagnetic shield to the vehicle body. CONSTITUTION:The electromagnetic shield 11 is electrically connected to a stiffener 15 through metallic washers 17a, 17b, and when a synthetic resin made lid body 3 closes an engine compartment 2, the lower end 15a of the stiffener 15 is brought into contact with a stay 7 fitted to an opening end 2a of a front part of the engine compartment 2, whereby the shield 11 is earthed to the vehicle body 1. The electromagnetic noise waves generated by auxiliaries for the engine in the compartment 2 are shielded by the shield 11 formed over the substantially entire part of the inside surface of the lid body 3 and earthed to the vehicle 1 through an earthing member 16, so that they are prevented from entering into an antena, resulting in a reduction of noise in the radio and enhancement of sound quality. |
