PURPOSE:To enable the absorption of motive power with stall torque or more, by using the runner of a torque converter in a negative speed region by reversing said runner. CONSTITUTION:A fluid control apparatus consists of a torque converter part T, a gear transmission apparatus part G and an operation system part O. The converter part T is equipped with an impeller 1, a runner 2, a first stator 3 and a second stator 4 and the stator 3 is a fixed type while the stator 4 is a movable blade type. Motive power to be braked in transmitted to a sun gear 6 and the impeller 1 from an input shaft 5 and the motive power transmitted to the gear 6 is transmitted to the runner 2 through a star gear 8 and a ring gear 9. At this time, the gear 9 is rotated to the direction reverse to that of the imepller 1 and, therefore, the runner 2 is also rotated to the direction reverse to that of the impeller 1. |
