<p>PURPOSE:To prevent beforehand a complicated postprocessing, by reporting preliminarily a residual storage capacity before the start of a document generating processing. CONSTITUTION:When a recording medium 2 is set and a power source is turned on, a power-on signal 11 is transmitted from a contrl part 1 to a picture information indicating part 8, and a picture signal is outputted from the indicating part 8 to a reading part 5. The reading part 5 reads out an initial menu picture 220 from the medium 2, and it is stored in a picture memory 3 and is displayed on a screen. The operator selects generation of the menu by a cursor moving key of an input part 7 and depresses an execution key, and then, the indicating part 8 sends a use condition list picture indicating signal to the reading part 5. The reading part 5 reads out a use condition list picture 222 from the medium 2 and writes it in the memory and displays it on the screen. The picture 222 manages a residual recording capacity of the medium 2 to display a corresponding number of residual pages on a new screen 330. Thus, the operator performs the preprocessing of document generation.</p> |
