PURPOSE:To suppress shortcircuit between positive and negative electrodes by the active material exposure section of the tip of an electrode consisting of the active material with which the hollow section of a hollow cylindrical ceramic prous body and a collection body are filled, with an electric insulation layer. CONSTITUTION:After the hollow section of a hollow pipe type porous body 5 made of ceramic is filled with active material paste and a rod-type collection body 7 is inserted and formation treatment is applied, for example, the tip is covered with a cap 15 made of cap-type synthetic resin. The tip can be coated and covered with a ceramic system adhesive agent 16 instead of synthetic resin. As a result, the shortcircuit between positive and negative electrodes is suppressed. Especially, when the ceramic system adhesive agent is used to cover the tip of an electrode, discharge rate characteristics are hardly be reduced. In addition, the adhesion to a ceramic pipe is also good since the same ceramic material is used and workability is improved. |
