A method for removing noxious, hazardous, toxic, mutagenic, and/or carcinogenic compounds and/or precursor compounds and particulate matter from a comingled gas, liquid, and/or solid stream is described. The method includes passing the stream through an ambient or chilled condenser followed by an optional gas/solid separator, a second optional ambient or chilled condenser, one or more wet scrubbers, and a combustion device. The method reduces the mass and volume loading to the combustion device and reduces the amount of noxious, hazardous, toxic, mutagenic, and/or carcinogenic compounds and/or precursor compounds and particulate matter that would otherwise be discharged. |
