摘要 PURPOSE:To make such a metal material as having ample corrosion resistance securable through a simple process, by covering a material surface containing Fe or Ni with a compound of Al and Fe or an intermetallic compound with Ni, while giving this covered surface corrosion resistance against high temperature fused carbonate. CONSTITUTION:After degreasing and pickling, the surface of a material containing either of Ni or Fe or both of carbon steel (hot milling steel plate) and austenite system stainless steel or the like as a basic material is impregnated in a bath of pure aluminum at a temperature of about 750 deg.C by way of example, then processed in diffusion treatment at a temperature of 900 deg.C, and with this diffusion treatment, a layer of Ni2Al3 or Fe2Al3 of about 0.5mm. in thickness is formed on the surface. With this constitution, such a metal material as having ample corrosion resistance as a fuel cell constituent material can be secured through a simple process.
