PURPOSE:To reduce a volume resistance value as well as to aim at improvements in gas interceptibility, by impregnating carbon paper with a conductive fluorocarbon resin dispersion, while laminating the fluorocarbon resin impregnated carbon paper made up of burning this resin composite one after another on both sides of the sheet. CONSTITUTION:Carbon paper is impregnated in an aqueous dispersion compound with, for example, carbon powder 150pt.wt to fluorocarbon resin powder 100pt.wt of polytetraflouroethylene (PTFE) or the like and, after impregnating this carbon paper in the aqueous dispersion, it is heated, so moisture is removed, then further heated at a temperature of more than the melting point of the fluorocarbon resin, burning the PTFE. On the other hand, PTFE powder is compounded with carbon, burning this powder whereby a conductive fluorocarbon resin sheet is formed up, then fluorocarbon resin-impregnated carbon paper is laid on top of another over both sides of this sheet and heated and pressurized under conditions at a temperature of 390 deg.C and a pressure of 20kg/cm<2> by way of example. With this constituion, gas interceptibility can be improved. |
