PURPOSE:To permit the correct operation of a swirl flow meter by arranging a fuel injection valve on the upstream side of a swirl flow meter for inhaled air and cleaning the surface of the heating wire of the swirl flow meter by the fuel jetted-out from the fuel injection valve, thus preventing the adhesion of dusts onto the heating wire. CONSTITUTION:When an engine 1 starts operation, air is introduced from an air introducing port 13 and passes through an air cleaner 12, and after the amount of inhaled air is detected by a swirl flow meter 4, the air is introduced into an engine 1 from an intake pipe 2. At this time, the amount of inhaled air is detected by detecting the number of formation of Karman vortex 8 by a heating wire 7. While, the fuel in accordance with each output signal of the swirl flow meter 4 and an inhaled-air temperature detector 10 is jetted-out from a fuel injection valve 9 by an electronic controller 11. Then, the fuel is atomized and mixed with the inhaled air and introduced into the engine 1. Since the fuel passes through the swirl flow meter 4, a portion of fuel particles collide with the heating wire 7 and cleans the surface of the wire. |
