<p>PURPOSE:To control tension so as to perform satisfactory rolling by calculating the variations of torque arm and tension and correcting the speed of rolling in correspondence with only a torque of tension portion or that of compression force portion. CONSTITUTION:The number of revolutions of a rolling roll 1A of the 1st stand, an output of motor 2A, and a rolling load are outputted to an arithmetic device 6 after a material 12 to be rolled is bitten by the roll 1A and immediately before the material 12 is bitten by a roll 1B of the 2nd stand, thereby the device 6 calculates and stores a torque arm. Next, the exsistance of the variation of torque arm at the time immediately after the material 12 is bitten by the roll 1B, is obtained by the deivce 6; a torque arm value of the 1st stand is corrected basing on the signals, etc. of a shape setter 8 and temperature detectors 10A, 10B when the variation exists, and a speed correcting quantity is obtained by calculating an output of compression portion and that of tension portion and calculating an error of the output of tension portion. The speed correcting quantity is inputted to a comparator to compare it with a set speed, and a motor controlling device 5A is corrected by said comparison difference and is also fed back to the original instructing position to correct the running of the motor 2A; thus the control is continued in the same manner.</p> |
