The clasp consists of the fixed receptacle (3) and of the articulated device (5), each of these parts being fastened to one end of an element (1 or 2) of the bracelet. The lateral elements (31), the base (32) and the upper plate (4) of the receptacle (3) delimit the opening (35) which, in plan view, has the shape of a T. The linking tongue (52), integral with the fixed element (51), engages in this opening and under the inner lip (36) of the upright. The articulated cover (53) fastened in the opening (35) by the element (53a) prevents any release of the tongue (52). The total thickness of the clasp may be less than double the thickness of the bracelet if the latter is a bracelet with flexible metallic links. <IMAGE>
