PURPOSE:To execute editing instruction processing speedily without increasing the capacity of a microprogram even if the kinds of editing characters are increased by outputting the leading address of a processing routine by using a non- volatile recording means. CONSTITUTION:When the 1st operand is to be edited by a program, a specific editing character of the 2nd operand 3 is previously loaded to the 1st register GR2. When the specific editing character inputted from the register 2 to a non- volatile storage means ROM1 is a prescribed character, an ES flag 5 and a V flag 4 are combined in accordance with a conversion table. Consequently, the processing format processing the 1st operand is determined and the leading address of the determined processing routine is outputted. Even if the kinds of the editing characters are increased, the editing instruction processing can be executed without increasing the capacity of the microprogram. |
