PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of a mill and to improve its operability by performing both increase and decrease bendings with a roll bending device. CONSTITUTION:A rod of a roll bending device 7 is projected when an increase bending is perormed and is drawn in when a decrease bending is performed. And a roll bending load is applied to work rolls 14, 15 through bending blocks 3, 6 and roll chocks 16, 17 used exclusively for the work roll bending. The increase bending and the decrease one are changed to each other by changing the inflow direction of a pressurized oil to the device 7. In this way, the construction of a mill is simplified without the need for providing roll bending devices separately. |
