PURPOSE:To improve effect of printing and obtain clear prints of high quality and easy to see by truing up irregularity caused by prohibition processing by adjustment that fits to the size and shape of characters. CONSTITUTION:An RAM2 that holds various data including those for adjusting line ends and a dictionary for kana (Japanese syllabary)-kanji (Chinese character) conversion 3 and a memory 4 that stores inputted document, program, data and dictionary are connected to the central processing unit 1 of a printing controlling system. Further, a character generating circuit 5 that stores and generates code pattern, a keyboard 6 as a code inputting device, a display unit 7 that indicates inputting and editing of code, and a printing device 8 that prints prepared document are connected to the device 1. Code data for printing are developed according to propriety of enlarging and reducing basing on the size and shape of the code, deletion of code pattern etc., and irregularity of characters caused by prohibition processing is adjusted conforming to the developed state under control of the device 1. Thus, easy to see, clear and high quality printing is effected.
