PURPOSE:To produce a twisted wire at a high speed and to improve productivity by twisting element wires from feed bobbins at a double pitch with a chamber machine, taking up the same on an intermediate bobbin, and subjecting the same again to finish twisting at a double pitch with the chamber machine. CONSTITUTION:Element wires A2 are drawn from feed bobbins 1 and are passed through a feed controller 2 and guide rollers 3, 4 then through capstans 5 and a die 6. The strands past an OT device 7 and capstans 8 are twisted to half the pitch for finish twisting, i.e., a double pitch in a chamber machine 9 and are taken up on an intermediate bobbin 15. The machine 9 is stopped and the strands A2 are cut between the bobbin 15 and the bobbins 1. The end of a false twisted wire A1 is connected to a guide wire A3 conducted from a coiler 21 to a guide roller 16. The coiler 21 and the machine 9 are operated to unwind the wire A1 from the bobbin 15 and while the wire is twisted at the double pitch again in the same way as mentioned above via the chamber machine and the capstans 8, the wire is finished to the finish twist pitch. The twisted wire A is taken up by the coiler 21. |
