PURPOSE:To provide water-tightness and to weld securely a bolt which is formed with a step in the neck part to the machine wall of a main body by inserting said bolt into the bolt attaching hole of the machine body with which a reinforcing plate is brought into contact, via said reinforcing plate, and fixing the step part and the machine wall by resistance welding. CONSTITUTION:A step part having the diameter smaller than the diameter in a head part 11 forming a seat face 1a of a bolt 1 is formed preliminarily in the neck part of said bolt in a way as to have the axial length slightly longer than the thickness of a reinforcing plate 3. The bolt inserting hole 3a to be provided to the plate 3 is formed to have the diameter larger than the diameter of a bolt mounting hole 2a of a machine wall 2 so that the step part 12 fits therein. The bolt 1 is inserted into the through-hole 3a of the plate 3 which is fixed to the inside of the wall 2 in contact therewith. The bolt 1 is so inserted that the step part 12 thereof contacts tightly with the wall 2 of the main body. Electrodes 6, 7 are then brought into tight contact with head part 11 and the wall 2 and electric current is conducted thereto under pressing. Then the bolt 1 is forced to the wall 2 side by crushing the molten part around the tight contact part thereby sandwiching the plate 3 between the face 1a in the head part 11 of the bolt 1 and the wall 2. |
