PURPOSE:To raise the quality of printed materials by setting up the phase of a plate cylinder and a rubber cylinder in such a way that the clamping angle of the printing plate is faced the notch-starting point of the periphery of the cylinder on the downstream side of the rotation slightly from the clamping angle of a blanket. CONSTITUTION:The circumferential phase of a plate cylinder 19 and a rubber cylinder 20 is set up in such a way that the clamping angle of a printing plate 21 is faced the notch-starting point of the periphery of the cylinder on the downstream side of the rotation slightly from the clamping angle of a blanket 51. In this case, the face of the claw-opening and closing cam 57 is formed in such a way that the paper clamping claw 54 of the rubber cylinder 20 is opened. Even when ink is adhered to the clamping angle of the plate cylinder 21 due to the contact between the clamping angle and a roller, since the ink does not move to the blanket 51 of the rubber cylinder 20, no staining of paper occurs, and therefore, the quality of printed material can be raised and the loss of paper can be reduced. Also, since the phase of the printing cylinder can be advanced toward the turning direction rather than the rubber cylinder, the clamping margin can be made smaller and consumption of paper can be saved.
