PURPOSE:To relieve the inconvenience of a caller and the load of the operator by providing a voice storage device to a private branch exchange, storing a message or the like to a voice storage device when a prescribed extension is busy at an incoming call from a trunk line and then transmitting the stored contents to the said extension. CONSTITUTION:The private branch exchange PBX is provided with a voice storage device VMS. When an extension which the operator is going to connect is busy at an incoming call from extensions A and B, the message or the like of a caller or the operator is stored in the voice storage device VMS, and after the busy state of the extension is released, this extension is connected to the voice storage device VMS to transmit the stored contents to the extension. Or, the stored contents are transmitted to the extension and when the caller is still in standby state, the trunk line and the extension are connected automatically. |
