PURPOSE:To make welding resistance excellent, by constituting the titled contact material from a composition consisting of a specific amount of zinc nitride and copper. CONSTITUTION:The composition of a sealing electric contact material consists of 0.6-20wt% of zinc nitride and the remainder of copper. Because a copper base is not sufficiently reinforced if the content of zinc nitride is 0.6wt% or less, good results are not obtained with respect to consumption resistance characteristics and welding resistance characteristics. On the other hand, when the content thereof is 20wt% or more, processing becomes difficult and the conductivity of the material also becomes low. This composite electric contact material has properties excellent in welding resistance and consumption resistance as compared with a conventional silver-cadmium oxide electric contact material. |
