PURPOSE:To prevent an absence of picture information by inhibiting the enlargement of an original unless the size of reception-side recording paper is suitable even when a mode of original enlargement is selected. CONSTITUTION:When the enlargement mode is specified with an enlargement button 11, the interchanging of control information is started and the size signal 32 of recording paper set on a reception-side facsimile equipment is inputted to a comparing circuit 13. The comparing circuit 13 compares the size signal 31 of the original with the size signal 32 of the recording paper, and outputs an enlargement indication signal 33 when the size of the recording paper is larger than or equal to the size of picture information after the enlargement. |
