PURPOSE:To prevent combustion of a copy form due to an irradiation of heat at the time of a paper jam by oscillating a mirror so that a radiant heat is dispersed to a prescribed width. CONSTITUTION:When a copy form 5 goes into a fixing part, a sensor detects it and inputs a detecting signal to a control part 16, and the control part 16 drives a heat source 2 through a heat source driving circuit 18. As a result, the heat source 2 is operated and starts to radiate a heat energy, and a radiant heat of the heat source 2 irradiates the copy form 5 through a mirror 9 from an opening part 8 of a mirror 7, and heats and fixes an unfixed image by a toner. When a paper jam of the copy form 5 occurs, and the copy form is left in a radiant type picture fixing device 1, a timer becomes time-up, an actuator 11 is driven through an actuator driving circuit 19, and the mirror 9 is oscillated in a position of a full line and a dotted line. As a result, the radiant heat of the heat source irradiated to the copy form 5 is not concentrated on a fixed part but is dispersed. |
