NEW MATERIAL:A compound shwon by the formula I [X is CH2, S, or O: A is group shown by the formula V(Y is OH, 1-6C straight-chain or branched alkanoyloxy, etc.); R1 is H, methoxy, lower alkyl, or OH when X=CH2; R2 is H, Cl, methoxy, etc.; R3 is H, alkali metal; R4 and R5 are H, lower alkyl, or R4 and R5 together with C linked to them to form cycloalkylidene; l is 1-3]. EXAMPLE:(1-5)-2-(2-Tritylaminothiazol-4-yl)-2-syn-[1-(4, 5-diactoxypyridin-2-yl)carbonyl] ethoxyiminoacetic acid. USE:Useful as a germicide or a component for a disinfectant. Having high antibacterial action on Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, useful for remedying various kinds of infectious diseases. PREPARATION:A novel carboxylic acid shown by the formula II [Z is (protected) amino; A' is as shown for group shown by the formula V, etc.] is condensed with a compound shown by the formula III(R'3 is R3, t-butyl, etc.) to give an intermediate, which is deprotected to give a compound shown by the formula I . |
