The present invention provides a novel indole derivative of the structural formula: <CHEM> This novel compound, systemically named 11 beta -(3-indolyl) -7,9 alpha ,9 beta -trimethyl-5 beta ,8,9,10 beta -tetrahydro-indano-[2,3-b] indole, is useful in pharmaceutical preparations bearing antiimplantation activity.
