PURPOSE:To maintain proper rotation of auxiliary machine continuously by arranging a variable speed pulley for exchanging the speed conversion characteristic to any one of high or low speed characteristics between the engine output shaft and auxiliary machine input shaft then controlling in accordance with the engine rotary speed. CONSTITUTION:In a system where alternator 3, cooling water cooling fan 4, air- conditioner compressor 5, power steering oil pump 6, etc. are driven through operation of engine 2, a variable speed pulley 7 is arranged between the engine and each auxiliary machine. The variable speed pulley 7 is provided with small diameter pulley 8 and integrally rotatable large diameter pulleys 9, 10 where the pulley 8 is coupled through an unilateral clutch 11 to the engine output shaft 12 while an electromagnetic clutch 13 is arranged between the engine side of said clutch 11 and the pulley 9. Said clutch 13 is controlled such that it is exchanged to OFF if the engine rotation drops below predetermined level. |
