PURPOSE:To obtain a pulley having no warpage and gap in a mated part in the case of welding a ring provided with the mating part obtd. from a coil-shaped thin steel sheet to the end face of the pulley by performing projection welding with the mating part as a center. CONSTITUTION:A continuous coil 5 is formed from a thin slender steel sheet having a width S and is cut by each one piece to form a ring 6 consisting of a disc. The ring is welded to the end face of a poly-V pulley 1 having no flange. The position around the mating part 7 of the ring 6 is subjected to projection welding as shown by 10a. The same circumference is then welded equally dividedly like 10b, 10c-. The pulley 1 which is free from warpage in the mating part 7, hooking, etc. of foreign matter during rotation and gap in the mating part 7 and has good balance and appearance is thus obtd. |
