PURPOSE:To perform the treatment of excretion within a short retention time by preventing the formation of water separable sludge, by a method wherein a flocculant is added to excretion to perform flocculation treatment and, after solid- liquid separation is applied to the treated excretion, anaerobic treatment is applied to the separated liquid. CONSTITUTION:A flocculant such as an inorg. flocculant or an org. flocculant is added to excretion, to which pretreatment such as SS-removal or preliminary aeration cooresponding to stirring is applied, to perform flocculation treatment and flocs formed by flocculation are subjected to solid-liquid separation by using a solid-liquid separation means such as a pressure float tank or a mechanical dehydrator. Subsequently, when the separated liquid is introduced into an anaerobic tank and anaerobic treatment is performed under proper stirring while an anaerobic state is held, methane fermentation is generated to remove BOD within a short time. In the anearobic treatment, it is necessary to hold a predetermined amount of bacteria such as acid producing bacteria or methane producing bacteria in the anaerobic tank and, therefore, it is pref. to employ an anaerobic tank such as a sludge blanket type. |
