PURPOSE:To contrive to enhance efficiency in assembling a printer, by providing on a carriage a carriage-fixing plate for restricting free movements of the carriage. CONSTITUTION:The carriage-fixing plate 9 is inserted into a lower widened part I of a hole part 10c provided in a side chassis, then a constricted part II of the plate 9 is lifted up and is fitted into an upper narrow part III of the hole part 10c, thereafter the plate 9 is lowered, and is attracted to a magnet part 8a of a magnet member 8 fixed onto the carriage 1. A pawl part 9b of the plate 9 is brought into contact with a side part 8b of the magnet member 8, thereby restricting the movement of the carriage 1. Accordingly, a wire can be efficiently fixed to the carriage after winding the wire around a driving pulley. |
