PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the worsening of emission at starting an engine next time when stopping the engine in the state that a cooling water temperature therefor is low during a cold time or the like.SOLUTION: When a cooling water temperature Tw for the engine is a threshold value Tref or lower (Step 200), two-cylinder fuel cut control is executed to stop fuel injection into two cylinders out of all cylinders of the engine and then to stop fuel injection into the remaining cylinders when a load rate KL is a predetermined rate KLref (Step S220). This inhibits the atmosphere of an emission control catalyst from becoming fuel rich to suppress the worsening of emission at starting the engine next time. |
