PURPOSE:To provide a rider room corresponding to the number of riders, by integrally composing a movable roof unit of a roof, a back window and area pillars and supporting the roof unit slidably in the front-to-rear direction of the body of an automobile. CONSTITUTION:On the body 1 of an automobile, a roof 3, a back window 4 and rear pillars 5 are integrally formed to constitute a movable roof unit 2. The unit 2 is supported by guide rails 13 provided on the tops of rear fenders 6 and extending in the front-to-rear direction of the vehicle body 1, and by sliding members 14, which slide while being guided by guide members 13, so that the unit 2 can be optionally slid in the front-to-rear direction of the vehicle body. When the unit 2 is slid rear-wards, opening 18 are defined over the rear fenders 6 by the rear edges of panes 10 of doors 9 and the fronts of the rear pillars 5. The openings 18 are closed by quarter windows 20. |
