A B S T R A C T MICROENCAPSULATION PROCESS In a microencapsulation process involving an interfacial polymerization reaction between a compound containing amine groups and a polybasic acid chloride or anhydride, the polymerization being carried out in an emulsion of an aqueous solution in a hydrophobic organic liquid, the reaction is terminated by introducing water into the hydrophobic phase of the emulsion where it reacts with and destroys the residual acid chloride or anhydride. |
