PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device which can prevent a maintenance worker from forgetting to put a belt on at the time of maintenance work on a car top.SOLUTION: The elevator device includes: a hand rail provided on an elevator car top and capable of being assembled at the time of maintenance work on the car top; and car top equipment disposed on the car top. The car top equipment can be installed by a maintenance worker performing the maintenance work on the car top, and has: a belt taken up and stored in the car top equipment; and a lock for holding the hand rail in a pre-assembled state.
