PURPOSE:To obtain easily relations of picture elements in a certain area of the same picture by converting multilevel data of a center picture element, which is scanned with a window, to multilevel data given with a conversion table in accordance with 3X3 binary data. CONSTITUTION:When the first and the second threshold are defined as two and five respectively and multilevel picture data (a) is inputted to a binarizing circuit, binary data (b) is ontained, and binary data in the 3X3 window out of data (b) is outputted in the order of scanning. When this output binary data is given as a 9-bit table address, a conversion table 8 or 9 outputs a binary signal or 8-bit multilevel data for the picture element corresponding to a center element A8 of the 3X3 window, and a multiplexer 10 selects the output of the table 9 or a delay buffer 11 according to the output of the table 8 is ''1'' or ''0''. |
