摘要 PURPOSE:To secure the traveling stability by Pivot-connecting a tie-rod onto a pair of tie-rod arms which are fixed onto the knuckle of a steering rear-wheel shaft and extend rearward on the shaft, thus allowing a cornering force to be generated onto a rear wheel and providing a retaining strength to the rear- wheel shaft. CONSTITUTION:When a truck 10 turns leftward, the cut angle of an outside rear wheel 67 becomes predominant than an inside rear wheel 66 on turning, and the angle theta formed between the straight line connecting the center M of turn in low- speed traveling of the inside rear wheel 66 with the center of revolution of a steering rear-wheel shaft 33 and the axis line of the steering rear-wheel shaft 33 becomes the lateral sliding angle of the rear wheel 66. Then, a cornering force is generated onto the rear wheel 66 by said lateral sliding angle theta. Further, the cornering force serves as a retaining strength in the case when the steering rear-wheel shafts 33 and 34 are self-steered, and the always stabilized self-steering is permitted, and traveling safety is improved.
