发明名称 TWO-CRANKSHAFT MULTI-CYLINDER ENGINE FOR MOTORCYCLE
摘要 PURPOSE:To promote an engine to be formed in a small compact size, by tilting ahead the upper part of both cylinders to be longitudinally and parallelly arranged and engageable providing a clutch shaft with a common reduction gear wheel meshed with both crank gears then forming air intake ports sideward. CONSTITUTION:Front and rear cylinders 1, 2 of a two-cylinder two-cycle engine are arranged so as to be placed approaching to each other by tilting ahead the upper end part of the cylinders to be longitudinally and parallelly arranged. While air intake ports 3, 4 are formed in the right side of a crankcase 5, and a crankshaft 20 of the front cylinder 1 and a crankshaft 22 of the rear cylinder 2 integrally provide respectively a crank gear 21 and a crank gear 23 both engaging with a reduction gear wheel 16. In such way, the whole unit of the engine can be formed in a compact size by longitudinally and parallelly arranging the both cylinders so as to decrease a lateral width of the engine and tilting ahead the upper end part of the both cylinders to enable a longitudinal width of the engine to be decreased further forming the air intake ports in the side of the crankcase to place the both cylinders approaching to each other.
