PURPOSE:To reduce a loss of brightness by making conductive projections to rise in the central part of a phosphor inside a face plate for being given potential while being made to be the anode for forming an electron lens around the projections. CONSTITUTION:The cathode 6, an electrode 7 forming an electron lens and the anode 8 are housed in the containers 10 and 11 having a face plate 9, while its inside is made vacuous for forming a picture display device. Thereby, conductive projections 14 in shape of a triangle section with a sharp vertical angle are made to rise in the center of a striped phosphor 11 on the back of the face plate 9, while being connected by wire binding or the like and given high potential of about 10kV to form the anode 8. Accordingly, an isoelectric face is focused in the direction of the projection center due to an electron lens effect of the projections 14 for reaching the phosphor 11 while being made into an electron beam with high density thus being able to clear a picture. |
