The present invention is an anti-sun oil consisting of a mixture of 4 natural vegetable oils extracted according to traditional techniques; one of these four oils is the annatto seed oil which constitutes the novelty of the cosmetic composition provided. Annatto seed oil contains provitamins A and an anti-UV-B screening agent which gives it a perfect application in the development of the tan; furthermore, it is thermoregulating and tempers excessively large temperature variations. Slightly coloured, this oil has a remarkable esthetic pretanning effect; of essentially natural constitution, it has no contraindication and is completely suitable for an average protection of the epidermis exposed to the sun and/or to the sea breeze.
