PURPOSE:To enable fixing without displacement of a toner image to a heating roller and adhesion of a transfer sheet to the roller and its winding on it, by using an offset preventing liquid having a b.p. of a specified temp. or higher, and enhancing the offset preventing performance as compared with a silicone oil. CONSTITUTION:An offset preventing liquid 8 stored on a receiving tray 7 is fed and applied to the surface of a heating roller 1 to prevent displacement of a toner image 3 and adhesion of a transfer sheet 4 to the roller 1 and its winding. As this liquid 8, acetylene alcohols having a b.p. of >=140 deg.C are used in place of silicone oils. As a result, since it is superior in offset preventing performance, and it can be washed with water in contrast to the silicone oil, the heating roller 1 can be washed with water is contrast to the silicone oil, the heating roller 1 can be washed with water all around it in the maintenance and cleaning of it, and further, since the acetylene alcohols have rust prevention property, the machines are prevented from rust, thus facilitating its maintenance. |
