COVERING METHOD OF STEEL PIPE PILE

PURPOSE:To form an anticorrosive cover layer with an excellent performance free from thermal deterioration by a method wherein a heat shrinking cover sheet having an adhesive layer is wound on the perimeter of a erected steel pipe pile overlapping the length-wise tip thereof to form a tubular body which is heated by a flame sequentially from bottom to top. CONSTITUTION:A heat shrinking cover sheet 4 having a thermal adhesive layer is wound on the perimeter of a weld joint 3 of a steel pipe pile 1. Then, a heat sheet tape 6 is piled on the lap 5 of the length-wise tip of the cover sheet 4 and thermally fused together to form a tubular body of the heat shrinking cover sheet 4. Then, the tubular body is heated and shrinked by a flame of a gas burner 7 sequentially from bottom to top to get tight on the steel pipe pile 1 and joined together with the adhesive layer to form an anticorrosive cover layer 1 on the perimeter of the steel pipe pile 1.
