PURPOSE:To carry out sterilization and microorganism control of a large amount of animal and vegetable foods efficiently, by blending a sterilizer and controller for microorganisms with liquefied carbonic acid gas to prepare a self- spraying chemical solution, spraying it from a nozzle upon foods which are being transferred on a conveyor belt. CONSTITUTION:An aqueous solution of sodium chloride, ammonium hydrogencarbonate, glacial acetic acid, etc. are fed to the storage tank 2 for stock solution, and blended to give a sterilizer and a controller for microorganisms. The sterilizer and controller for microorganisms is sent to the blending tank 4, the liquefied carbonic acid gas is introduced into the blending tank 4, to prepare a self-spraying chemical solution, which is preserved in the storage tank 12. The self-spraying chemical solution is sent through the nozzle tank 19, and sprayed from the nozzle 20 upon the foods 24 which are being transferred on the belt conveyor 22, so that the foods 24 are sterilized, microorganisms are controlled, the foods are packed by the packaging pack mechanism 23 to give a product.
