PURPOSE:To improve the wear resisting property of the contacting surface of a main magnetic pole and to extend the life of the magnetic pole, by providing a pair of self-lubricating plastic bodies under conditions where the bodies are united with the magnetic pole in one body and surrounding the contacting surface with the plastic bodies in such a way that a sliding surface which is on the same plane with the contacting surface and contacts a recording medium together with the contacting surface. CONSTITUTION:A main magnetic pole 1 is composed of a thin film of a magnetic substance vapor-deposited on one surface of a glass substrate 8 having about 3mm. thickness and the thickness of the magnetic pole 1 is set to <=1mum. The main magnetic pole 1 and glass substrate 8 are put between a pair of self-lubricating plastic bodies 9. With such constitution, a recording medium 2 makes a sliding motion while contacting a contacting surface 7 and sliding surface 10. Therefore, friction between the contacting surface 7 and sliding surface 10 and the recording medium 2 is reduced by the lubricating action of the self-lubricating plastic bodies 9 and, as a result, the wear resisting property of the contacting surface 7 is improved. Accordingly, wear of the contacting surface 7 is prevented and the life of the main magnetic pole 1 is extended. |
