PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of A/D conversion by applying A/D conversion to an offset signal of a prescribed level of the LSB of A/D conversion added to an input signal by means of one of plural A/D converters. CONSTITUTION:An input analog signal (d) is converted into a digital signal (f) by an A/D converter 10 and then outputted. A signal (e) added with the offset signal of an m/n-level (0<=m<n, and m, n are integers) of the LSB level of the A/D converter generated at an offset generating circuit 11 to the signal (d) is converted into a digital signal (g) by another A/D converter 10. The signals f, g are averaged by an averaging circuit 12 so as to output a signal (h). The operating timing of both A/D converters 10 and the circuit 12 is controlled by a timing signal generated from a timing generation circuit 13. Thus, the accuracy decided independently by a single A/D converter is improved by n/m- times. |
