PURPOSE:To enable to properly cool an engine by a structure wherein the outflowing port of a driving disc, which has an opening at its front and the interior near the central portion at the axis center of which is formed as an oil storage chamber, is opened and closed by an elastic member attached on the driving member side. CONSTITUTION:When the temperature of cooling water reaches the preset temperature, a connecting rod 5 shifts forward by following up the thermal expansion of a waxy material at a water temperature sensing element B against the elasticity of an elastic valve member 6 so as to open an outflowing port 9 by pushing up the elastic valve member. As a result, the oil in an oil storage chamber 7 is fed on a torque transmission gap 8 side so as to increase the effective contact area of the quantity of oil in the torque transmission gap 8 in order to increase the rotational speed of a fan 17. On the other hand, when the temperature of cooling water falls down below the set temperature, the action reversing the above-mentioned action is developed due to the contraction of the waxy material and the restoring property of the elastic valve member 6, resulting in decreasing the rotational speed of the fan 17. |
